Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Job Summary and Scope

The recruiter acts as the primary link between the SRMC staff and potential candidates. The recruiter performs all recruitment activities as assigned. Responsible for duties such as conducting interviews, reviewing resumes, developing a strategic recruitment plan and ensuring adherence to all hospital policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

  • POLICIES AND PROCEDURES - Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, and quality assurance programs
  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT - Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops.
  • Ensure that properly qualified employees are recruited and hired for open positions
  • Maintain and organize the application tracking system to provide positive communication to managers and applicants on open positions.
  • Organize recruiting teams and conduct interviews as needed to meet hiring goals
  • Post position as required.
  • Maintain position control and provide input to the Director.
  • Act as liaison between potential candidates and hiring managers
  • Develop recruiting strategies to attract applicants, both short and long term strategic plans
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of job fairs, college recruitment drives, and special employment and Human Resources events
  • Administer and maintain data pertaining to hiring, candidate flow, exit interviews and marketing
  • Assist in reference checks on applicants
  • Extend job offers and send appropriate offer letters. Follow thru and evaluate improvements for onboarding candidates.
  • Act as liaison with marketing for sourcing and marketing materials for recruitment
  • Evaluate trends in recruitment and the job market to recommend recruitment strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with various applicable state and federal regulations
  • Cross train and assist with the various HR areas and disciplines
  • Maintain and update standard work.
  • Provide input into daily management processes and suggest improvement ideas.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelorís Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management

Licenses/Certifications: None

Work Experience: Two (2) years of direct recruitment experience, preferably in a high volume and/or hospital environment

Preferred Educational/Experience Requirements

  • Masterís Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management
  • PHR Certification Ė AIRS Certification
